Jamal Musiala started FC Bayern’s goalfest against Union Berlin with his first Bundesliga goal of the season. It was also a special game for the attacking midfielder as he played for the entire 90 minutes only for the second time since the start of last season.

“I managed to play 90 minutes, which I haven't done for some time. I'm looking forward to what's coming,” Musiala said after the game. The 23-year-old scored a Bundesliga goal at Allianz Arena for the first time since the 4-1 win over Borussia Mönchengladbach six months ago, which was apparently the last time he started and finished a league game.

"Every win and every game needs a lot of hard work and energy. I feel so good. Every game is a step forward for me,” added Musiala in his interview with Sky Sports (via reputable FC Bayern-focused X page iMiaSanMia).

Musiala started the interview with a joke as reporters were instead expecting Michael Olise to the podium. The Frenchman leaves the pitch without giving an interview after recent incidents circulating on social media.

Musiala will now join the Germany national team for the start of the UEFA Nations League. With Jürgen Klopp’s plans, Musiala will only be available for the first two games against the Netherlands and Greece before a different squad competes in two more fixtures after that.
