Kehl could move quickly into new role after Dortmund exit
Sebastian Kehl's sudden Borussia Dortmund exit could open the door for the 46-year-old to move to Hamburger SV, who have been showing interest in him for some time.

A few months ago, reports emerged that Hamburger SV were interested in appointing Sebastian Kehl.
Now, with Kehl’s contract as Borussia Dortmund sporting director having been terminated over the weekend, the move could gather pace.
According to Hamburger Abendblatt, HSV remain interested in Kehl, who is now available on a free transfer.
The 46-year-old could be brought in to replace Stefan Kuntz, who stepped down as HSV’s director of sport at the end of 2025.
Kehl was Borussia Dortmund’s head of first-team football between 2018 and 2022, before stepping into the role of sporting director.
