Following a disappointing season in his native country, it appears as if Robin Gosens is headed back down south to the Serie A. The 29-year-old himself is thought to favor a move. Italy's La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Lazio Rome are prepared to take him on. Gosens previously played for Italian clubs Atalanta Bergamo and Inter Milan.

The Italian publication reports that - after spending a reported €13 to €15 million to acquire Gosens last autumn - Union are willing to let the 20-times-capped international go for a fee in the €10 to €12 million range. Gosens scored seven goals and pocketed four assists for his German side in 36 appearances across all competitions this season.
