Borussia Mönchengladbach coach Adi Hütter has praised Kouadio Koné after the midfielder made his first appearance for the German side in Saturday's 1-0 win over Borussia Dortmund.

After recovering from a knee injury, the 20-year-old was in the starting line-up against Dortmund, and Hütter was pleased with what he saw from the young midfielder.

"He's a player with a lot of potential," Hütter said in the wake of Saturday's victory.

"I wanted to bring a different element to this team. I think he forms a very good trio in central midfield with Denis Zakaria and Jonas Hofmann. That's fun."

Gladbach put €9 million on the table to sign Koné.
