Just a day before their first Bundesliga game of 2022 against Arminia Bielefeld, the Breisgau club have confirmed that three members of the squad have returned positive PCR tests.
"The names are not yet communicated," said the club in a statement.
Freiburg sit third in the Bundesliga ahead of the second half of the season.
