The Bundesliga outfit confirmed three positive coronavirus tests on Friday, but did not initially want to reveal the names of the players.
Now, around an hour before kickoff, Freiburg have confirmed that the three players are first-choice goalkeeper Mark Flekken and defenders Nico Schlotterbeck and Kiliann Sildillia.
Freiburg sit third before today's game.
