Flick on Schlotterbeck's Germany debut: "Hopefully, it will be a good lesson for him"

Hansi Flick has shared his thoughts on Nico Schlotterbeck's first game for the German senior national team.
Germany coach Hansi Flick was seen talking to Nico Schlotterbeck straight after the final whistle of Saturday's 2-0 win over Israel after the Freiburg centre-back gave away a penalty towards the end of the game.

Asked what he said to the 22-year-old, who made his full international debut, Flick explained:

"Nico and I spoke about that incident. He analyzed that clearly like we did, so that's a good first step.

"He played well, got stuck in and was involved. Hopefully, it will be a good lesson for him. He can be really satisfied with his debut overall," the Germany coach is quoted as saying by the German Football Association's official website.
