Leverkusen updates: Werkself set to land Hlozek, Aranguiz transfer held up
Czech news portal iDES reports that 19-year-old attacker Adam Hlozek's transfer to Bayer 04 Leverkusen should be completed soon.
The 19-year-old's services will not come cheap, however, and confirmation may have to wait until some outgoing transfers are finalized.
Once linked with larger Bundesliga clubs, it appears as if Czech Wunderkind Adam Hlozek has opted to join Germany's red company team instead. That is if a report from a Czech news portal is to be believed. Czech source iDES cites two corroborating sources to claim that the teenage talent will be moving to Leverkusen at a cost between €20 to €25 million.
The 19-year-old's services will not come cheap, however, and confirmation may have to wait until some outgoing transfers are finalized.
The website claims that "an agreement is close" between Bayer and Hlozek's current club, Sparta Prague. The reported upon agreement cites a transfer sum larger than the attacker's current estimated market value of €19 million. Leverkusen themselves may be mired in complicated transfer negotiations currently unfolding around Chilean midfielder Charles Arnaguiz.
The latest news on Aranguiz, as confirmed by German footballing magazine Kicker, suggests that the 33-year-old wishes for an outright release from his current contract, which runs through 2023. As reported upon earlier on this site, there is some question as to whether a release clause in Aranguiz's current deal can still be contextually triggered.
Bayer will certainly wish to pocket a transfer fee from the Arnaguiz's desired destination club, SC Internacional of Porto Alegre. Aranguiz's estimated market value stands at €5 million in the latest transfermarkt listings.
