Contradicting reports emerging earlier in the day by German broadcaster Sport1, Germany's two main sources of print footballing journalism now claim that a €22 million transfer of 19-year-old Czech striker Adam Hlozek from Sparta Prague to Bayer 04 Leverkusen is actually not finalized. Kicker Magazine and Sport Bild report that the two clubs are still not in agreement over the transfer fee.

Both sources claim that Germany's red company team does not wish to pay the €22 million in one lump sum, instead preferring to structure the deal around performance incentives. Kicker does report that a transfer is much closer to the line than it was when reported upon a week ago. Furthermore, it does not appear as if die Werkself (as initially reported) wish to finalize outgoing transfers before closing the deal.

Italian transfer icon Fabrizio Romano reports that a compromise formula has actually been found. According to the transfer guru, Leverkusen will pay a base fee of €13 million. Further cash flows on to Sparta in the form of performance incentives and an (almost unheard of) 30% re-sale clause.
