Report: Eberl to be named new RB Leipzig sporting director
Max Eberl is set to take over the position as RB Leipzig sporting director, according to Sky Germany.
Max Eberl has reportedly agreed to take over the vacant position as RB Leipzig sporting director.
According to Sky Germany, Leipzig have reached a total agreement with the former Borussia Mönchengladbach boss, with only the final details of the deal left to be contractually fixed.
If everything goes according to plan, Eberl will take on his new job on December 1, 2022.
At the end of January, Max Eberl stepped back as Gladbach sporting director, citing mental exhaustion as the reason for his resignation.
Since then, he has traveled the world and held many talks – among others with RB Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff, who has now managed to convince the 48-year-old to come to Red Bull Arena.
