Dortmund updates: Real put out feelers for Adeyemi, Reyna could be on the block

Germany's main sporting tabloid reports that Real Madrid have already put feelers out for the next player they wish to acquire from Borussia Dortmund, flourishing winger Karim Adeyemi.

While a sale of Adeyemi this summers counts as extremely unlikely, the "Bild" Boulevard-Blatt  also reported in its print edition this morning that the BVB are seriously considering selling off Giovanni Reyna.

Germany's "Sport Bild" tabloid reports that, after completing their blockbuster €103 million deal for Dortmund's Jude Bellingham, Real Madrid have already contracted Karim Adeyemi's agent about a possible future switch. It remains seemingly impossible that the Spanish giants could swing a deal for Adeyemi this summer as Dortmund will have no interested in allowing their resurgent winger to depart.

The German tabloid acknowledges this, claiming that the BVB would consider nothing below an offer more than double the youngster's worth. Bild cites a price tag of €80 million or more for the €35-million-valued player. Adeyemi remains under contract through 2027 and, to the knowledge of German footballing journalism, the 21-year-old has no exit clause in the deal he signed last summer.

A more plausible transfer rumor appeared in the pages of the "Bild Zeitung"'s sports page this morning. The Bundesrepublik's most widely read tabloid claims that Sebastian Kehl and the Dortmund front office are strongly considering selling U.S. international Giovanni Reyna. The 20-year-old - thanks in part to Adeyemi's emergence - has seen his prospects for playing time diminished.

Reyna - who did score seven goals this season - finds himself behind Adeyemi, Donyell Malen, Julian Brandt, and even Marco Reus on the squad's depth chart. Young prospects Julian Duranville and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens also count as competitors for the American phenom. Gio has seen his estimated market worth sink to €28 million this year, but could still fetch upwards of €35-40 million.
