Wolfsburg updates: VfL set to land Majer, Vranckx sale to Eindhoven nears completion

Germany's preeminent footballing publication is currently confirming a report originating in France's L'Équipe concerning the imminent arrival of Croatian midfielder Lovro Majer to Germany's northern Autostadt.

In other Wolfsburg-related transfer news, Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reports that midfielder Aster Vranckx's move to PSV Eindhoven is close to being finalized.
VfL Wolfsburg have apparently secured the transfer of Croatian attacking midfield talent Lovro Majer. The Stade Rennes talent was targeted earlier this summer as a replacement for the departed Felix Nmecha, who switched to Borussia Dortmund. France's L'Équipe reports that the 22-times-capped Croatian international will cost Germany's green company team €30 million, but Thomas Hiete of Germany's Kicker Magazine cites his own internal sources to claim that the 25-year-old will arrive for a fee closer to €25 million.

While Majer looks set to be unveiled either this evening or tomorrow, the rumored sale of midfielder Aster Vranckx to PSV Eindhoven - according to Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano - about to become a reality. The recently returned AC Milan loan-out will be sold to the Erdevisie outfit for a base transfer fee of €10 million with an additional €2 million in performance-related bonuses tacked on. The 20-year-old joined Wolfsburg from KV Mechelen for a €8 million transfer fee in the summer of 2021.
