Virkus disappointed by Neuhaus' performances

Borussia Mönchengladbach sporting director Roland Virkus has admitted that Florian Neuhaus has not played at the level expected of him this season.
Florian Neuhaus has slipped down the pecking order at Borussia-Park since the beginning of the season, starting just one of Borussia Mönchengladbach's last 10 games.

Asked why the midfielder is currently starting, Gladbach sporting director Roland Virkus told Bild:

"I think it's a pity. But football is a competitive sport and Flo has to get himself out of this situation.

"He has to perform now, that's for sure," he added.

Neuhaus, 26, signed a contract extension this summer, tying him to the Foals until 2027.
