Hoffenheim midfielder Florian Grillitsch has attracted concrete interest from Southampton and Newcastle, according to a report from Sport Bild.

The report claims that Arsenal and Inter are also keeping an eye on the midfielder, who had a release inserted when he signed a contract extension until 2022 last summer.

According to Sport Bild, Grillitsch has a €25 million release clause, which only applies to English clubs. Apparently, clubs from 'smaller leagues' would only have to pay €20 million to trigger the clause.

Grillitsch, 24, has made 24 appearances for Hoffenheim this season, scoring once and making three assists.
