Bayer Leverkusen are keeping tabs on Schalke 04 centre-back Ozan Kabak, according to Sport Bild.

The 21-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Liverpool, is available for around €15 million, per the German publication.

'Die Werkself' wish to strengthen their backline this summer following Sven Bender's retirement and Aleksandar Dragovic's departure for Red Star Belgrade and with Jonathan Tah, Tin Jedvaj and Panagiotis Retsos possibly heading for the exit door as well.

The Bundesliga outfit have been linked with other central defenders, too – including Gladbach's Matthias Ginter, Celtic's Kristoffer Ajer, Arsenal's William Saliba and Mainz's Jeremiah St. Juste.
