Report: Köln's first-choice Bornauw replacement headed elsewhere

According to Flemish Dutch newspaper "Het Nieuwsblad", 1. FC Köln are set to lose out on their preferred candidate to replace Sebastiaan Bornauw.
It may very well be back to the drawing board for Germany's cathedral city club. The Domstädter were widely thought to have Arthur Theate of Belgian side KV Oostende lined up to replace departed central defender Sebastiaan Bornuaw. According to a prominent Belgian daily, however, the Jupiler Pro League side has already played a better hand.

Het Nieuwsblad reports that the 21-year-old Theate is in fact headed to the Serie A. FC Bologna have already agreed to terms with the defender and Oostende is said to have secured transfer fee well above the former Genk and Standard Liege youth academy player's estimated €5 million market value.
