FC Augsburg have bolstered their attacking options with the signing of 22-year-old striker Andi Zeqiri.

The Swiss forward arrives from Brighton & Hove Albion on a one-year loan deal.

"We are very pleased that Andi has decided to move to FCA despite numerous interested parties and offers," said Augsburg managing director for sport Stefan Reuter.

"With him, we get a player with a great mentality, who we were already in contact with when he played in Lausanne. He has everything that a good offensive player needs. With his speed and finishing qualities, he will enrich our game."

Since his €4 million move from Lausanne last year, Zeqiri has been limited to just 13 appearances for Brighton and has found the net once.
