Eintracht Frankfurt take Croatian midfielder on loan
24-year-old defensive midfielder Kristijan Jakic has joined Eintracht Frankfurt on loan.
Eintracht Frankfurt have landed Kristijan Jakic from Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb.
The 24-year-old defensive midfielder has joined 'Die Adler' on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy.
"Kristijan is a player who sets himself apart in defensive midfield with his vision and the necessary strength in the tackle," said Eintracht board member for sport Markus Krösche.
"He has a good eye and has managed to improve steadily over the past few years. We want to continue this process in Frankfurt. By signing him, we’ve gained a type of player that we didn’t previously have in our squad."
Earlier tonight, Frankfurt confirmed the signing of 18-year-old Igor Matanovic from FC St. Pauli, where he will stay on loan for two years.
