Stanley Nsoki's costly red card in Sunday's loss to Bremen will end up costing the TSG 1899 Hoffenheim defender two Bundesliga matches. The DFB sports court's disciplinary arm confirmed that the 25-year-old French youth international will miss Hoffenheim's forthcoming league games against Stuttgart and Bochum. Nsoki remains eligible to play in this Thursday's Europa League fixture against Dinamo Kiev.

Nsoki - largely regarded as a very expensive transfer flop - has made 32 appearances for the Kraichgauer since joining Hoffenheim from Cub Brugge for a reported €12 million in the summer of 2022. During that time, he's scored one goal and already incurred four red cards. He was most recently suspended for two matches last spring.

Nsoki's estimated market worth has declined from a peak of €12 million during his Nice days to a career low of €2.5 million in the latest transfermarkt update. His first start this year owed much to the fact that the Sinsheimers - despite a controversial late flash of cash near the end of the transfer deadline - are lacking qualified central defenders capable of performing at Bundesliga level.
