Isak Hansen-Aarøen once again changed clubs on the last day of the January transfer window, making a permanent move from Werder Bremen to NEC Nijmegen. It was on the same day two years ago that the attacking midfielder joined the Bundesliga outfit from Manchester United.

The 21-year-old Norwegian spent the second half of last season at Danish side Aalborg BK after only making three Bundesliga appearances in his first year at Bremen. He featured in the opening day defeat to Frankfurt this term, but that ended up being his final game for Bremen. In total, he has only played 26 minutes of Bundesliga football.

"It's no secret that we were looking for a solution together with Isak that would further his sporting prospects. We have now found this with a transfer to Nijmegen," said Bremen’s sporting director Peter Niemeyer.
