Czech international Robin Hranac has joined TSG Hoffenheim on a permanent basis.

The Bundesliga outfit confirmed the signing of the centre-back from Viktoria Plzen on a long-term contract on Sunday.

"Robin is a strong centre-back who proved his worth as a regular in the Czech national team at the European Championships in Germany. He has good speed and technique, plays with courage and is very forward thinking. He fits in perfectly with our philosophy at TSG,' said Hoffenheim's interim sporting director, Frank Kramer.

“We are convinced that he can immediately help our team with his convincing personality and presence on the pitch.”

Hoffenheim have previously seen their moves for two other centre-backs, Oumar Solet and Armel Bella-Kotchap, fall through due to failed medicals.
