Alexander Prass has joined TSG Hoffenheim on a permanent basis from Sturm Graz.
The 23-year-old, who is capable of playing as a left-back and as a left midfielder, has signed a long-term deal with the Bundesliga outfit.
"He's a very exciting player who, despite his young age, has already gained a lot of experience at national and international level," said Frank Kramer, TSG's interim sporting director.
"Alex is a dynamic left-footed player who has been playing for Ralf Rangnick's Austrian national team in recent months, including as a left-back at the European Championship in Germany. We see this as one of his greatest strengths and want to develop him further in this position.
“After the serious injury to David Jurásek, we had to react and have now filled this gap in the squad perfectly with Alex. He has a very good character, is very ambitious, hard-working and wants to develop. We are convinced that Alex is a player who will immediately strengthen our team with his mentality and dynamism. He is also a good fit for the team, the club and the environment.”
Prass racked up nine goals and nine assists in 47 games for Sturm Graz last season.
