According to Sky Germany, the transfer of Borussia Dortmund's Almugera Kabar to Hamburg has fallen through at the last minute.

Differing opinions between the clubs regarding the player's fitness level are the reason, based on the pay-TV channel's report.

HSV doesn't feel that Kabar, who has just returned from injury, can immediately contribute to their Bundesliga survival battle.

However, Kabar did not fail his medical examination. The versatile defender wanted to join on loan, and HSV wanted him.

The 19-year-old had been in Hamburg since Saturday and watched the match against Bayern Munich at the stadium.

The clubs had reached an agreement on the loan terms. In the end, however, HSV rejected the deal, and Kabar has already left Hamburg.
