VfB Stuttgart have strengthened their squad further ahead of the 2024/25 season.

On Wednesday, the Swabians announced the arrival of 22-year-old Dutch centre-back Ramon Hendriks, who joins from Feyenoord on a contract until 2028.

“Ramon played 31 games in the Dutch Eredivisie last season and his performances aroused our interest,” said Stuttgart sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth.

“We believe he can make the step up to the Bundesliga, and at the same time we see further potential for development in him. We’re pleased that Ramon has chosen VfB and the path we’ve shown him, and offer him a warm welcome to Stuttgart.”

Hendriks, who spent last season on loan at Vitesse, added that he's “really looking forward to playing in Germany”.

“It’s a big step for me and I’m very happy to be here. I can’t wait to get to know the team and the staff, train here and play in this magnificent stadium.”
