FC Bayern recovered in style from their two-game winless run as they scored six goals past RB Leipzig, who did the same to Eintracht Frankfurt in the previous matchday. The Rekordmeister are back at the summit of Bundesliga before Freiburg's game in Leverkusen on Sunday.

In his 100th Bundesliga appearance, Harry Kane started the game with an attempt from outside the box. Maarten Vandevoordt conceded the first goal of the game in the 12th minute as Luis Diaz scored in back-to-back games.

Joshua Kimmich's superb chipped pass had the Colombian through in goal as he finally put behind the early concerns of a dip in performance. Bayern continued to knock for the second goal, and the former Liverpool winger added an assit to his first strike since the opening matchday.

Aleksander Pavlovic, who was rested against Viking FK, doubled their advantage with a composed finish. Ten minutes later, Michael Olise added a third goal with yet another calm finish after the playmaker Kane spotted him unmarked inside the box.

The Frenchman celebrated his goal with more energy than usual after the criticism he faced for the red card in the Champions League. The 24-year-old also scored a brace in Vandevoordt’s Belgium debut in the UEFA Nations League.

Martin Demichelis made a couple of half-time substitutions to prevent further embarrassment on his return to Allianz Arena. However, Luis Diaz completed his brace three minutes after the restart from Kane's second assist of the night.

The England captain wasn't going to be denied as well as he joined the scoresheet following a brilliant play from Bayern. Nathaniel Brown recorded his first assist for the club. After his goal, Kane was one of the four players to be taken off with half an hour left on the clock.

Vandevoordt made several saves after the break, including an unorthodox one to deny substitute Tom Bischof. Yet he conceded another from the resulting corner-kick as Diaz completed his hat-trick with a brilliant finish from the edge of the box. Bayern nearly scored seven in back-to-back home games, but Serge Gnabry denied from close range.

Vincent Kompany reserved his last substitution to finally give Sacha Boey his first minutes of the season. The French defender stayed at Bayern despite their best efforts to find him a club before the end of the transfer market. Andrija Maksimovic, who also scored Leipzig's goal in their 4-1 defeat to Como, netted his first Bundesliga goal in injury-time.

Having conceded 11 goals to Bayern in Bundesliga last season, RB Leipzig suffered yet another heavy defeat at Allianz Arena. The Bulls have conceded five or more goals in each of their last three visits to Bayern in the Bundesliga.

FC Bayern will host last season's Champions League finalists Arsenal on Wednesday night, while RB Leipzig face the record winners Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabéu.
