Schalke 04 talent Soufiane El-Faouzi recently ruled out the possibility of a swift departure from the Ruhrpott club in winter.

“I don't want to make a show of it. Even if there were other offers, I would put all of that on hold for now," he told Ruhr Nachrichten.

The 23-year-old, whose agent stated he had “many enquiries” from various clubs, has been impressive for the Gelsenkirchen side thus far.

El-Faouzi joined Schalke from 3.Liga outfit Alemannia Aachen last summer for a transfer fee of just €200,000.

He has since become an indispensable part of coach Miron Muslic's team, starting every competitive match this campaign.

The Royal Blues – who currently sit top of the 2.Bundesliga table – hold the power given his contract with runs with the club until 2029.
