Sky Report: Bayern set to exercise buyback option on hot attacking prospect

German transfer guru Florian Plettenberg reports that German giants FC Bayern München wish to exercise a buyback option on rising German talent Armindo Sieb of SpVgg Greuther Fürth.

Twenty-one-year-old German youth international Armindo Sieb has put together an impressive campaign for 2. Bundesliga side SpVgg Greuther Fürth. The former Bayern academy man, after netting three goals in his last two league fixtures, has now pushed his 2023/24 season totals to 12 goals and three assists for Middle Franconia's "Kleeblatt". Sieb earned his first call up to the highest youth level of Germany's national team program earlier this year.

Sieb was once a Säbener Straße developmental prospect at the FC Bayern München campus. The German giants initially loaned Sieb out to Fürth before selling him outright for a reported €50,000 in the summer of 2022. Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg now reports that Bayern secured a buy-back option for the young talent. The German transfer guru further notes that the record champs are prepared to exercise it.

Per Plettenberg, Bayern hope to re-acquire Sieb and immediately loan him out to another developmental destination. Over the course of his successful season, Sieb has pumped his estimated market worth up to €3.5 million in the latest transfermarkt update. Plettenberg reports that it will cost Bayern approximately €1.5 million to get the player back on their books.
