Sport Bild Report: Bochum to snatch up Strasborg talent on a free

Germany's main sporting tabloid reports that VfL Bochum are about to score a €6-million-valued defensive midfielder on a free transfer.

Malian international Ibrahima Sissoko is - according to Germany's main sporting tabloid - about to join VfL Bochum on a free transfer. The SC Racing Strasbourg defensive midfielder is available on an expiring contract after six years of representing the French border club in Ligue 1. The 26-year-old former French youth international has been capped once for his heritage country of Mali since switching allegiances last autumn.

Sissoko brings with him plenty of experience in the French top flight, having made 179 appearances. He's scored a total of five goals and registered 12 assists during his time in Alsace. A relatively strong campaign in which he registered three assists in 31 appearances across all competitions has seen his estimated market worth ticket up to €6 million in the latest transfermarkt update.
