Sport Bild Report: Sallai and Freiburg opt to part company
Germany's "Sport Bild" tabloid reports that Hungarian international Roland Sallai - entering the final year of his contract with SC Freiburg - has lodged a transfer request. The versatile attacker enjoyed another relatively successful season in Breisgau (eight goals and five assists in 38 appearances across all competitions) and also played well for country in the European Championship.
Sallai has scored 20 league goals in 136 Bundesliga appearances over the course of the last four years for the "Schwarzwaldverein". The 27-year-old's estimated market worth has risen back up to €15 million in the latest transfermarkt update. Sport Bild claims that Sallai prefers a move to the English Premiership, but that there are also interested parties in Italy and Spain.
