Eintracht Frankfurt trainer Dino Toppmöller addressed rumors that midfielder Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe might be on his way to Turkey during his Thursday presser. The SGE gaffer stated that the 23-year-old French youth international wished to remain in Hessen even though there had been some clear differences between player and club.

"He [Ebimbe] is happy to be here with us and is keen on Eintracht Frankfurt," Toppmöller said, "He has not only verbally committed himself, but also trained very well this week and appears much more focused. We should still get a lot of joy out of him."

Ebimbe is not the only German top flight professional being linked with a move to Turkish champions Galatasaray Istanbul. Swiss international Ruben Vargas of FC Augsburg is also rumored to be in the Turkish club's sights. Reached for comment by Germany's "Ligainsider" website, FCA trainer Jess Thorup attempted to quash the reports.

“I told the team today that the window is now closed," Thorup told the website on Friday, "We're all together here for the next few months. I've spoken to him [Vargas] and his focus is on helping Augsburg. Of course, I'm happy about that because he's a highly skilled player."

There may yet still be other Bundesliga players headed eastward on Turkey's deadline day. SC Freiburg and SV Werder Bremen attackers Roland Sallai and Naby Keïta may yet be on the move. Sallai's Hungarian compatriot and TSG 1899 Hoffenheim flop Attila Szalai has also frequently been linked with a Turkish loan out.
