Nicolo Tresoldi's superb Champions League campaign added a new chapter as the German-Italian striker netted his fifth goal of the competition in Club Brugge's 2-1 victory over Napoli. The 22-year-old opened the scoring before Peter Bosz's side equalized with a goal from Kodai Sano, the younger brother of Mainz's midfielder Kaishu.

The Belgian champions took all three points as Carlos Forbs responded with his third goal in four games. Tresoldi isn't expected to be named in Jürgen Klopp's Germany squad for November's international break since he's yet to decide his international allegiance.

Tresoldi and Erling Haaland, who scored his 13th goal against RB Leipzig on Wednesday, are joint second in the scoring chart as Anastasios Douvikas doubled his tally with a hat-trick in Como’s historic 9-1 win at Lens on the night his compatriot Konstantinos Karetsas secured three points for Borussia Dortmund. The debutants became the first team to score nine times in a Champions League away fixture.

German defender Marc Oliver Kempf got his first European goal to help Cesc Fabregas’ side climb to fourth thanks to their superior goal advantage over the other eight teams currently on nine points, including 12th-placed Borussia Dortmund. The 31-year-old played for four clubs in his home country before joining the then-newly-promoted Como from 2. Bundesliga outfit Hertha BSC in 2024.

The defending champions PSG and Real Madrid are the only sides with a perfect record from four games. Former BVB midfielder Jude Bellingham was on the scoresheet for the record winners as they once again left it late to defeat AEK Athens in one of the early fixtures on Wednesday.

Kai Havertz was an unused substitute in Arsenal’s 2-1 win at Slavia Prague, while fellow Germany international Florian Wirtz played the last half hour in Liverpool's defeat at Fenerbahçe. FC Porto and debutants Viking FK started the night winless, but they climbed off the bottom three following 4-1 victories over Napoli and Sabah, respectively.
