Reports: Werder targeting two strikers

Transfermarkt's German home site is currently confirming a report originating in a Croatian news portal concerning SV Werder Bremen's interest in striker Ante Crnac.

Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano also claims that the Hanseaten are interested in potentially acquiring Portuguese forward Fabio Silva on loan from Wolves.

SV Werder Bremen presently prepare to enter the coming Bundesliga campaign with little experienced options behind striker Marvin Ducksch. There were repeated reports over the summer that the Hanseatic city-state club were seeking another attacking addition, but a transfer never materialized. Now separate sources are reporting that Werder have two targets in mind as the summer transfer window prepare's to wind down.

Croatian news portal "Germanijak" claims that Bremen are among the suitors for Croatian youth international Ante Crnac of Poland's Raków Częstochowa. German journalist Benedikt Duda of transfermarkt's German home-site confirms not only the rumors, but that a €7 million offer has been tendered for the 20-year-old. Duda notes that it cannot be confirmed at this time whether Werder or another bidder, Palermo FC, are the source of the tender.

In any event, Werder do appear to be actively seeking assistance for the attack to augment the frontal options of Justin Njinmah, Keke Topp, Oliver Burke, and Dawid Kownacki. Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reports that Wolverhampton Wanders wish to organize a fourth consecutive loan-out for Portuguese youth international Fabio Silva. The 22-year-old has recently thrived at Anderlecht, PSV, and Rangers.

Silva maintains an estimated market worth of €11 million in the latest transfermarkt update, far more than Crnac's €2 million listing. Silva once cost Wolves €40 million. The Premiership side remain hopeful of offloading him permanently. It is such that any loan deal for Silva will contain an obligatory purchase clause. Silva remains tied to the Black Country club through 2026.
