After scoring 12 goals and providing seven assists in 34 Bundesliga appearances last season, Jonas Wind has lost his starting spot at Wolfsburg - and he's struggling to see why.

"Not yet. Of course it's not ideal. I feel in good form and that I should play.

“I feel I'm the best for the job in Wolfsburg, but the coach has looked other ways so far, so I just have to fight to prove to him that I'm the best option,” he added.

Wolfsburg coach Ralph Hasenhüttl recently said he'd had a long talk with Wind about his situation.

However, the Denmark international doesn't really feel that he's been given an explanation as to why he's not starting.

“No, not really. There hasn't been much back and forth between [Hasenhüttl] and me,” Wind said.

The Danish international has played 65 minutes of football in three games for Wolfsburg this season.
