FC Bayern München attacker Yusuf Kabadayi is - as confirmed by most all German footballing media sources - on the verge of joining FC Augsburg. The 20-year-old was loaned out to second division side FC Schalke 04 last year. The Munich-native scored four goals in 23 2. Bundesliga appearances. Germany's Kicker Magazine reports that Augsburg will pay a six-figure sum to sign Kabadayi permanently.

In other Augsburg-related transfer news, the fully expected departure of striker Sven Michel is headed back to his old club of SC Paderborn 07 after spending just one year in Bavarian Swabia. Michel joined Augsburg from Union Berlin last summer after joining die Eisernen from Paderborn as Max Kruse's replacement in the January 2022. The veteran mostly played a relief role for the FCA.

Michel's stint in the German top flight saw him score eight goals for Augsburg and Union. He did also feature for Paderborn during their year in the top division during the 2019/20. Michel notched five Bundesliga tallies under then trainer Steffen Baumgart that year. The 33-year-old netted only two goals for Augsburg last year. His tenure was regrettably characterized by a missed penalty in a round 19.
