Recently returned from a loan stint in Greece, English fullback/winger Jordi Osei Tutu will now be departing German football permanently. EFL League One side Bolton Wanderers confirmed the 25-year-old's purchase on Thursday afternoon. Details of the transfer fee were not divulged. Osei-Tutu joined the 1848 Revierklub on a free transfer from Arsenal in the January 2022 transfer window following a successful loan stint with Bochum in the 2. Bundesliga.

The Englishman scored five goals for Bochum in the German second division, yet never managed to get his name on the scoresheet in the top flight. He did make a total of 20 top tier appearances in the 2022/23 Bundesliga campaign andfurnish a few eye-catching performances. Osei-Tutu's estimated market worth at his time of departure was €500,000.

In other Bochum-related transfer news, the winners of the 2023/24 promotion/relegation playoff appear poised to complete another high-profile signing. After signing high value players Ibrahima Sissoko and Dani de Wit on free transfers this summer, Marc Lettau and the club administrative team have reportedly swing a deal to obtain Dutch striker Myron Boadu on loan from AS Monaco.

Like Sissoko and de Wit, the once-capped Dutch international maintains an estimated market worth in excess of €5 million. Boadu joined his Ligue 1 club for a whopping €17 million from AZ Almaar three years ago, yet has not quite caught on in France with just eight goals in 52 league appearances. He was loaned back out to FC Twente in his native country last season.

Germany's Kicker Magazine confirms a report originating in Holland's Telegraph newspaper concerning Boadu's impending transfer. Assuming a Thursday medical was passed, Boadu is set to be unveiled today. Boadu will play in Westphalia on a season-long loan-out. Whether or not Bochum have secured a purchase option is not yet known.
