Dortmund's Brandt and Süle don't travel for Man City showdown

BVB appear to have been dealt a mixed bag on the personnel front ahead of their trip to Manchester.

At the start of the week, it was expected that both Nico Schlotterbeck and Niklas Süle would be fit to face Manchester City on Wednesday.

However, Niko Kovač's side will be without Süle, who also missed Friday's 1-0 win in Augsburg and wasn't present in training today.

Surprisingly, Julian Brandt also did not train with his Borussia Dortmund teammates either and instead partook in an individual session.

BVB have since confirmed via a club statement posted on social media that neither of Brandt or Süle will be travelling to face the Sky Blues.

There was positivity with Schlotterbeck, who recently missed training due to illness, completed the final team session and travels.

At least the Westphalians can also call upon the services of Emre Can once again, who returned to the bench last weekend after an injury layoff.
