Ernest Poku officially leaves Bayer Leverkusen for Besiktas

Bayer Leverkusen have confirmed that Besiktas have signed Ernest Poku on loan, with the deal including a purchase clause that will be triggered if certain criteria are met.

Ernest Poku has left Bayer Leverkusen to join Turkish Süper Lig outfit Besiktas.

Die Werkself confirmed the transfer on Thursday, stating that the Dutchman has moved to Turkey on loan, with a purchase clause that will be automatically triggered if certain criteria are met.

“Ernest Poku has made a name for himself as a fast attacker in Germany and across Europe,” said Bayer 04 managing director for sport Simon Rolfes.

“His performances in the Bundesliga and Champions League have left an impression. With his footballing profile, Ernest has everything it takes to establish himself at Besiktas in a high-quality squad.”
