Reports: Fiorentina make last-minute swoop for Gosens

Sky Germany is now reporting that there's been a last-minute shift in the matter of Union Berlin left-back Robin Gosens. Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano also reports that the German national team flanker is actually headed back to the Serie A.

Sky Germany is now contradicting reports emerging not too long ago in the matter of Union Berlin and German national team left-back Robin Gosens. It appears as ACF Fiorentina have made a last-minute swoop for the 30-year-old. The 20-times-capped German international will be loaned back out to the Serie A following his disappointing freshman campaign in his native country.

Sky and Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claim that Union and Florenz have hammered out a deal that will likely see Gosens move back down south permanently. A €7.5 million purchase option will automatically be triggered once Gosens reaches a minimum number of deployments. Sky journalist Lisa de Ruiter reports that Gosens is presently en-route to Italy for his medical.
