Sky Reports: Both Gosens and Doekhi to remain with Union

Sky Germany is currently reporting that two 1. FC Union Berlin professionals linked with moves away from the club will be remaining in Köpenick after all.

After a summer of almost constant outgoing transfer rumors, it looks to be the case that disaffected German national team left back Robin Gosens will be remaining with 1. FC Union Berlin after all. The same applies to Gosens' teammate Danilho Doekhi, who has also been linked with a move elsewhere. Most recently, VfL Wolfsburg were interested in bringing in the Dutchman as a replacement for the departed Moritz Jenz.

Both players featured in new FCU trainer Bo Svensson's starting XI last weekend against Mainz and played the full 90 minutes. Gosens has actually played maximum minutes under the Svennson regime despite the arrival of some competition at his slot. Barring something unforeseen, both Gosens and Doekhi should be Svensson's lineup against St. Pauli tonight.
