Gladbach chief reveals head coach hunt is down to "two or three" names

Rouven Schröder has shortened Borussia Mönchengladbach's search for a new coach down to just two to three" names. 

The list of candidates has now been narrowed to a "very, very small" circle, Gladbach's sporting director explained on Thursday.

“We strive to achieve the maximum of what we can. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t,” the Gladbach chief explained.

As possible successors to Eugen Polanski at the Rhineland club, BILD today mentions Domenico Tedesco and Dino Toppmöller.

Both head coaches who were recently dismissed from Bologna and Lens respectively, are available and could be approached.

Schröder doesn't reveal whether the duo is actually a topic of discussion in the Lower Rhine region, only saying: 

“The break in play is now longer than usual. Therefore, we can assume that we will present a new coach during the break. One or two days here or there don't matter.”
