Sky Germany can report that a full agreement with Borussia Mönchengladbach has now been reached with Ajax for Ko Itakura.

After talks emerged this morning of the deal nearing completion, the transfer fee is set at €10.5million with €2million in possible add-ons.

The 28-year-old will sign a contract in the Netherlands capital until 2029 with the potential for a one-year extension.

A medical examination is most likely to take place tomorrow, Friday 8 August, according to Florian Plettenberg.

All things considered, it is a very good sale by the club's board member Roland Virkus, with the deal set to be made official soon.

Eintracht Frankfurt were interested in the Japanese international, however Die Adler's approach came too late to rival Ajax.
