Harry Kane will receive his Golden Shoe award for the 2025/26 season on August 19th at the FC Bayern Museum. The award is given by the Association of European Sports Media (ESM) for the top scorer across European leagues.
While goals in European top-five leagues will be multiplied by two, it will be multiplied by 1.5 for those ranked from 6th to 22nd. The number of goals would be taken as it is for the rest of the top-flight leagues. Bundesliga, FC Bayern and Kicker will be the joint hosts of the honorary event days before the German Super Cup final between the Rekordmeister and Borussia Dortmund.
Kane won the prize for the second time after his 36 goals (72 points) in the 2025/26 Bundesliga season. Erling Haaland (Manchester City) and Kylian Mbappé (Real Madrid) finished second and third in the ranking. The England captain also won the award in his first Bundesliga season (2023/24).
Stuttgart’s Deniz Undav also makes the top ten this season as he finished ninth with 19 goals (38 points). Gerd Müller and Robert Lewandowski are the only other strikers who have won the award twice with FC Bayern. No player received it more than two times, with the exception of Lionel Messi (6) and Cristiano Ronaldo (4).
“Harry Kane has been shaping the Bundesliga and international football for years with performances at an outstanding level. Winning the Golden Shoe for the second time is an extraordinary achievement and underlines his consistency in world class. Together with FC Bayern Munich, the kicker and European Sports Media, we are delighted to honour this special award with football fans around the world.” said Bundesliga’s managing director Marc Lenz.
Bayern president Herbert Hainer praised the striker as he ranks the Englishman alongside the club’s legend. “At FC Bayern, Harry Kane stands alongside striker legends such as Gerd Müller and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. He always leads by example with character and a sense of togetherness. We are proud that he is part of the FC Bayern family.”
