Sky Germany can report that Hertha BSC are close to loaning in Farid Alfa-Ruprecht for the upcoming 2026-27 season.

A complete agreement has been reached with Bayer Leverkusen regarding a loan without an option to buy, as also reported by BILD.

However, a purchase option has not been included for the 2.Bundesliga side, with Leverkusen keen to keep him long term.

The club from the German capital have prevailed over SC Paderborn, who were also interested in Alfa-Ruprecht.

The 20-year-old winger is on his way to Berlin for his medical examination, which is scheduled for Thursday, 20 August.

Last season, the Hamburg native played 26 games on loan at VfL Bochum where he returned three goals and two assists.
