Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg understands that Hertha BSC star Fabian Reese has agreed to move to VfL Wolfsburg this summer.

Reese originally committed to Wolfsburg before their relegation – but only on the condition that they avoided relegation.

Now, despite the Lower-Saxony side dropping into the second division, the Wolves have still secured his renewed commitment.

Sport BILD also reports that an agreement has been reached with the 28-year-old despite other offers from the Bundesliga and in Türkiye.

However, the final hurdle for Wolfsburg is settling on a transfer fee, with Reese estimated to cost between €6 to 8million.

Pay-TV channel Sky adds that the versatile attacker will likely pen a deal with the Autostadt outfit until the summer of 2030.
