Hoffenheim target Prass as Jurasek replacement, Plettenberg reports

Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg reports that TSG 1899 Hoffenheim have joined the race for Austrian international Alexander Prass.

Twenty-three-year-old ÖFB international Alexander Prass of Austrian Bundesliga champions Sturm Graz has been linked with many high-profile clubs this offseason. The RB system prospect completed a highly successful season for club (nine goals and eight assists in 47 appearances across all competitions) whilst also collecting two assists for Ralf Rangnick's national team during the recent European Championships.

As pertains to the Bundesliga, Eintracht Frankfurt were listed as potential suitors. German transfer guru Florian Plettenberg now reports that TSG 1899 Hoffenheim are in advanced talks with the Austrian champs. The Kraichgauer are in need of an offensive-minded left wingback after David Jurasek went under the knife due to an injury incurred in training camp. Sturm Graz currently seek €10-12 million for their star.

Hoffenheim have still not made a summer signing ahead of the coming campaign. The Sinsheimers find themselves in total administrative disarray following the sacking of long-time sporting director Alexander Rosen. Interim chief personnel officer Frank Kramer is under enormous pressure to shore up the roster on short notice. Die Kraichgauer are also expected to lose lead striker Maximilian Beier to Dortmund this week.
