Germany have suffered a blow just minutes before their 2026/27 UEFA Nations League opener against the Netherlands.
Jamal Musiala was named in the starting lineup but has had to withdraw at short notice, with Mainz midfielder Nadiem Amiri replacing him for Jürgen Klopp's team.
According to Bild, Musiala’s withdrawal is not related to the neurological dysfunction that caused him to collapse on two occasions during Bayern Munich’s pre-season.
Instead, Musiala reportedly felt a muscular issue during the warm-up, with his withdrawal understood to be a precautionary measure.
