According to Thomas Hiete of Germany's Kicker Magazine, VfL Wolfsburg are keen on acquiring Algerian national team striker Mohamed El Amine Amoura of Union Saint-Gilloise this summer. Germany's green company team - having effectively removed themselves from the relegation race discussion - are now focusing on how to rebuild their roster. The VfL administrative team must urgently prioritize finding a new striker. Die Wölfe have few options at present.

It looks to be the case that Danish striker Jonas Wind will seek to find a more stable club after the season concludes. Lukas Nmecha's continued struggles with injury render the German international an unreliable prospect. Former Union Berlin striker Kevin Behrens doesn't appear to be a regular candidate for leading the line and young talent Dzenan Pejcinovic may be headed for a developmental loan-out. Amin Sarr is likely headed back to his parent club.

Hiete writes that there is some evidence that Amoura is also pondering a career move. The 20-times-capped international nevertheless has many other suitors. Liverpool FC, Olympique Lyon, Brighton & Hove Albion, and even RB Leipzig are thought to be interested in the 23-year-old's services. Amoura was linked with Eintracht Frankfurt at one point. Hiete emphasizes that Wolfsburg have not yet decided to sell Wind and reinvest the proceeds.

With 17 goals in 23 games, Amoura has managed to score every 84 minutes in the Jupiler Pro League this season. The forward's estimated market worth has nearly quadrupled since last October. At present, Amoura's estimated market worth stands at €16 million; a figure that is certainly not out of the budget range of Germany's green company team. Wind's sale could generate upwards of €20 million.
