The rumored move of Swedish youth international Amin Sarr to Germany's green company team is through. The deal between Olympique Lyonnais and VfL Wolfsburg, it was revealed on Thursday afternoon, is actually a loan. The 22-year-old will spend the season in Germany's northern "Autostadt". All major German footballing media sources confirm a purchase option in the neighborhood of €13 million.

"We are happy that we have found what we are looking for and can complete our attack with Amin Sarr shortly before the end of the transfer period," VfL sporting director Sebastian Schindzielorz remarked in a statement accompanying the signing, "With Amin, we get an extremely versatile striker who stands out especially for his physical and technical qualities and makes us even more variable with his speed and vertical play."

"VfL is a great club and you have a great environment here to develop as a young player," Sarr himself added, "That's why I decided to come here. I saw the club play against Malmö in the Europa League and have followed them ever since, and I have already exchanged ideas with Mattias Svanberg beforehand. I've only heard good things from him, which has left me with a positive feeling."

Sarr's Swedish compatriot Svanberg is indeed one of many Wolfsburg players off to a good start this season. The addition of another target forward for the VfL roster became necessitous after Lukas Nmecha's latest injury setback. Earlier in the day, the club confirmed the worst possible news for the German striker. Nmecha must undergo another surgical procedure on his knee.
