Bayer Leverkusen coach Kasper Hjulmand will, somewhat unexpectedly, have Christian Kofane available for the club’s final game of the year against RB Leipzig on Saturday.
According to Kicker, the 19-year-old forward will not link up with Cameroon’s squad for the Africa Cup of Nations until after Leverkusen’s upcoming match.
Kofane, who has racked up five goals and five assists for Bayer 04 this season, trained with the team as usual on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Edmond Tapsoba, Ibrahim Maza and Eliesse Ben Seghir have already left Germany to join their respective national teams ahead of the tournament in Morocco.
