During his press conference this morning, Vincent Kompany was asked if he could picture working with Nico Schlotterbeck.

The Bayern Munich coach was rather succinct regarding his thoughts on the Dortmund defender whose future is currently unknown.

“I only see Nico Schlotterbeck as an opponent tomorrow. Of course I know his profile very well. He's a player with good progressive passes.

“He links up well with Guirassy and his build-up play is very important for BVB. Otherwise as I said I only see him as an opponent,” he added.

Bayern Munich's director of sport, Max Eberl, also chimed in on the matter - he was even more disinterested in discussing transfer rumours.

“I don't want to talk about opposing players. We have very good defenders in Tah, Min-jae, Upa. The biggest topic right now is Upa's contract extension.

“When other topics arise, then we'll go on the market and take a look. But for today, I have no comments on that,” Eberl explained.
